Kelly Ruth

Kelly Ruth is a multi-passionate mover, teacher, and music-loving human who’s spent the last decade blending creativity, wellness, and strength — with a few yoga mats and bass strings along the way. She studied vocal performance and upright bass at UArts and the Chicago College of Performing Arts before touring the indie music circuits of Nashville, Philly, and Chicago in her twenties. In 2018, she pivoted from indie gigs to inner peace, earning the coveted yearlong Kripalu School of Yoga Internship — a fully immersive, live-in experience where she trained under legendary faculty like Yoganand Michael Carroll, Cristie Newhart, and Larissa Hall Carlson. She later joined the teaching faculty at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and served as Program Coordinator across several departments, including the School of Yoga, Integrative Yoga Therapy and Mindful Outdoor Leadership School.

After relocating to Chicago, Kelly continued working and teaching remotely for Kripalu through 2022 while also stepping into the world of corporate wellness. As a Program Manager for lulafit at the iconic Old Post Office Building, she created and led yoga and fitness experiences for Fortune 500 clients like Ferrara Candy, Uber and PepsiCo — and even designed the national strength training program for Gatorade’s corporate employees.

Kelly holds a 500-hour E-RYT and is a NASM-certified personal trainer. She’s mentored dozens of yoga teachers, helping them grow confident in both their teaching and their practice. These days, she’s especially passionate about helping women discover their strength — physically, mentally, and energetically — through intentional movement and soulful support. Whether she’s cueing a deadlift, leading a breathwork class, or cracking a bad pun mid-warrior pose, Kelly brings heart, humor, and a whole lot of experience to everything she does.
